City of glass book review

Wow. This book. It was so good. I just finished reading it and am happy to admit that I was blown away. This story had so much happening in it and made me feel so many feelings. There were parts where I laughed; there were parts where I cried; there were also parts that made me angry and happy.

From the first three books in the series, I must say that this one was by far my favourite. It had action throughout the whole story, it had betrayal from some characters and it had plot twists in that I never saw coming. There were some parts to the book that I just had to stop reading after to process everything that just happened. One of these times was during one of the battle scenes.

After reading about Alicante and Idris during the past two books, in this book, we finally get to see what its really like as the whole story is set in Alicante. I really liked this idea as we got to see how it actually is there. I was really interested to find out more about this place and I ended up learning a lot more about it. At the same time, I also managed to learn a lot more about Clary and meet new characters alongside Clary.

I really liked Amatis as she was really nice to Clary and helped her out in a lot of different ways in different situations.

I really didn’t like Malachi and the inquisitor after what they did to simon at the beginning of the book. I especially hated Malachi near the end because of something that he ends up doing.

Sebastian. I have no words. I can’t believe that I looked him when we first met him in the story. He seemed so nice. Who he ended up being and what he ended up doing shocked me and surprised me. I really didn’t expect that.

We also saw the return of some other characters which made the story a really interesting read. This story had so much action and death in that I didn’t want to put the book down and wanted to find out what’s going to happen next.

I gave this book a 5/5 stars as it literally blew me away. I am also starting city of fallen angels now so I have high expectations for that book.

Have you read city of glass? What were your thoughts on it? I would love to know.
